Chief Business Officer
Dan Copeland is the Chief Business Officer of the firm. Dan has worked with construction and government contracts lawyers and their clients for more than 27 years. He managed an international seminar company that conducted 450+ in-person construction contracts and claims seminars and conferences throughout the U.S., S.E. Asia, Middle East, India, and U.K. Dan was the Global Business Development Director for Hill International, an international construction project management and claims consulting company, where he managed and substantially grew the Claims Group’s Business Development Unit. He was also the Director of Business Development & Marketing for Long International, an international construction claims consulting company providing services primarily to the oil & gas, pipeline, power, and chemical industries.
Dan is a highly acclaimed business development and marketing professional with a proven track record selling professional services to owners, contractors, lawyers, insurers, and engineers. In addition, Dan previously instructed courses on business development and marketing for the professional development centers for both The George Washington University and George Mason University. Also, Dan is highly adept in interpersonal, rhetorical and mass communication.
Early in his career, Dan held high-level clearances and was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division involved in analyzing issues, threats and trends concerning U.S. national security. Prior to this, Dan worked for ABC Sports where he covered the Washington Bullets (Wizards) and Georgetown Hoyas basketball teams.
